It’s not something that’s talked about often, but it’s certainly something we are proud of! MiG Construction is so honored to have been a part of several projects within the hotels and casinos lining the Las Vegas Strip. Our professional team and remote offices allow us to work our magic across the country. Our CEO, Paul Jenkins, beams with pride when he shares that we have done extensive work on the Las Vegas Strip. We wanted to share some of our favorite projects with you.
Have you visited any of these places? We would love to hear about it!
Dale Chihuly Gallery, Las Vegas
The 4,351-square-foot glass-art inspired gallery is located in the base of the Mandarin Tower in Las Vegas CityCenter. MiG worked with owner Dale Chihuly to meet budget constraints while keeping the amazing architectural features and design. The gallery features a 700-lb. floating glass sculpture at the entrance and various fluid and organic chandeliers throughout the space. The space is open and airy with high ceilings, leaving one to focus solely on the amazing art.
Flight Bar, Luxor – Las Vegas
A 4,000-square-foot new bar concept, Flight is about 300% larger than the existing Nile Bar, the small lounge it replaced. In addition to the necessary interior construction, MiG installed a number of the design element furnishings, including custom-made blackjack tables with bench seating and acrylic mathematic equation artwork. Overhead, the bar features tiered zebra wood ceiling panels, which required unique engineering techniques.
Criss Angel Theatre – Las Vegas
MiG created a dream-like Gothic Victorian theme for the theater lobby to correspond with the Criss Angel Believe Show. The Gothic Victorian theme was achieved by using dark red and grey paint throughout, fiber-optic dangling chandeliers, and baroque gold frames around the amazing lenticular panels and metal detectors. The box office and retail area feature a clean, modern design utilizing metallic colors, including metal panel flooring and metal baffled ceiling.
Julian Serrano at City Center – Las Vegas Chef Julian Serrano’s vision for his signature restaurant was brought to life as part of an exciting City Center project in ARIA Resort & Casino. This 220-seat bar and restaurant serves up Serrano’s classic Spanish tapas. A notable feature in its construction included the installation of a beautifully detailed mosaic tile floor, with walls shipped in from Italy. This project merited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
